The results of this study indicate (1) the intrinsic elements of novels and films, namely themes, characters and characterizations, plot, setting, point of view, language style, and mandate and (2) the process of ecranization occurs in the elements of characters and plots because of the media used in the film. The data analysis technique consists of three streams of activities that occur simultaneously, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing verification. The validity of the data is done by data triangulation technique.
